Christina's work explores the human relationship to everyday spaces, looking at places we all recognise and respond to. Through 3d drawings and installations she recreates empty, hollow echoes of a place or objects, using thin wire lines that map the memory of the physical. She plays with the language of line and the spatial illusion of drawing, linking 3d and 2d to alter how we read and respond to these linear signals. Observing the comfort and shelter we associate with the home she explores the reality of what this place is to us, trying to break down how we recognise, remember and respond to it through these altered images and environments.

Her work looks at our perception of space and our interpretation of familiar environments. She explores her themes through site-specific installations, performance, sculpture and photography.

Christina is based in Hertfordshire, as a fellow of the Digswell Arts Trust for emerging artists. She works alongside other Hertfordshire and North London artists in The Forge studios based near Welwyn Garden City.
